How do pink rock salt lamps work and can they actually improve health?

Now, the pink stuff is being hailed by some as the miracle cure for a number of health ailments, including asthma and stress. Specialised spas across the UK are even offering salt therapy or “halotherapy,” which typically involves a one-hour session in a “salt cave,” which – you guessed it – is quite literally a room full of salt.
