What is Herbal Medicine

Unlock a Healthier You: The Power of Herbal Medicine with Jenya Di Pierro
To everyone new (and not-so-new), I’m so happy you’re here.
Here is my story.
My path into natural medicine began when my dad faced a serious chronic illness. Searching for ways to support his recovery led me to leave a 17-year career in finance and immerse myself in fascinating world of herbal medicine—a tradition that has supported our well-being for thousands of years.
‘I had faced many challenges myself during my career in finance from compromised gut health, burnouts and anaemia to endometriosis and other hormonal imbalances. Getting myself to the optimal state of physical, mental and emotional health gave me an understanding of what the journey is like for many of my clients and what is needed in order to be truly well.’
Fifteen years on, I run Lifestyle & Wellness Club - Cloud Twelve Club - in Notting Hill, London as well as my Natural Medicine practice. I hold diplomas in herbal medicine, naturopathy, homeopathy and somatic healing with further training in functional medicine, gynaecology, genetics, intimate ecology (urinary/vaginal microbiome), psychosomatics and spiritual psychology. I’m currently studying TCM & Chinese Herbal Medicine. The learning never stops—it keeps me curious, inspired and effective in helping my patients.
I believe in holistic healing that honours the whole person—body, mind and emotions—addressing both symptoms and root causes. I always start with the person in front of me and the wisdom of the physical body; it’s the most real thing in the room. Your personal story matters most. Alongside it, I look at organs, systems, biomarkers and the underlying vital force of the body —because everything is connected. Seeing the full picture helps me identify the true cause. I also do functional tests to add precision when needed.
I then create a herbal formula. Herbs are my first love, and my herbal pharmacy at Cloud Twelve allows me to create bespoke remedies that support body and mind—soothing symptoms while working on root causes and restoring vitality. In the initial evaluation I also review nutrition, supplements and lifestyle; often the smallest, most obvious changes—hydration habits, sleep hygiene, dietary tweaks—make the biggest difference.
I also explore the mental and emotional health. Many patients with chronic conditions tell me it began with an emotional trauma. This must be taken into account; at times, healing trauma becomes the key to long-term recovery. I use regression hypnosis, homeopathy, guided visualisation and emotional processing to reframe trauma, release emotional blocks, shift limiting beliefs and reprogramme the mind into healthier patterns.
My special interest is women’s health—from fertility to hormonal balance and menopause. I also support clients with gut, vaginal and urinary microbiome issues; healing the gut often unlocks improvements in skin, hormones, autoimmunity and overall vitality. Diagnosis aside, I focus on the person in front of me—decoding what the body is saying through physical, mental and emotional symptoms—and guiding them back to lasting health. This is what excites me the most about my work.
